Commercial Japanese Knotweed removal – A Brownfield site in London has been earmarked for residential development and over three weeks in June, TCM implemented a Dig and Dump methodology for the eradication of the knotweed growing rampantly on the site, including using on-site Soil Screening methods to enable the smallest possible amount of material being taken to a Licenced Landfill Site for disposal.
Woodland outside of the development area will undergo herbicidal treatment for the next two years to complete total eradication.

From the images, you can also see that there are complex and high volume Japanese knotweed root systems which have been growing happily underneath the concrete that formed the foundations of the industrial units which used to be standing on this site. It has not yet broken through the concrete as there were no weak points within the material.

Barrier Membrane:
TCM also installed 800m of growth resistant membrane along the perimeter of the site to protect from the encroachment of Japanese knotweed growing in the adjoining plot, to which we had no access.
