Japanese knotweed removal services are still open during the UK lockdown.  We’re still here because Japanese knotweed eradication is considered an essential service.

So, how can TCM remain open and what are we doing to protect you from Japanese knotweed and COVID-19.

 COVID-19 Japanese Knotweed Services

TCM - Agricultural & Construction Sector

TCM and other Japanese knotweed removal companies fall under the 'agricultural and construction' sector.  In fact, knotweed eradication is an essential service to housing developments and construction firms.  Simply put, without an eradication service to rely on, new homes and property developments would stop being constructed on Japanese knotweed infested land in the UK - that's a lot of land going to waste!

Precautions for homeowners

Most homeowners are aware that Japanese knotweed can damage property, and make a big dent in finances too.  Moreover, it can devalue your house and tie you in legal implications.  Understandably, when land and property owners find Japanese knotweed in their garden, they want it removed - and sooner, rather than later.

In fact, last month we completed jobs identifying and eradicating Japanese knotweed from locations in Bristol, Norwich and Clacton alone!

Thankfully, the outside nature of our work means we can safely remove knotweed without coming into contact with homeowners or their families.

Our COVID-19 Procedure

When you hire TCM to remove Japanese knotweed from your property or land, now more than ever, our priority is the safety of our staff and clients.  For this very reason, TCM have put in place strict COVID-19 procedures to ensure everyone feels and remains safe throughout the entire process, from your initial enquiry right through to completion of the job.  How is this achieved?

  1. We maintain at least a two-metre distance at all times.
  2. Our staff wear face coverings and we encourage our clients to do the same.
  3. We avoid face-to-face meetings and now meet online, via phone or video conferencing.
  4. Hand sanitiser is carried by all our on-site staff.
  5. Our office-based colleagues work from home.
  6. Before conducting a site survey, we contact the client to discuss time of arrival. During this call we also ensure that it's possible to reach the infected area whilst maintaining social distancing.
  7. We ask homeowners to remain indoors whilst we conduct surveys and remove Japanese knotweed from their garden.

If you have any questions regarding our approach to the coronavirus, or wish to discuss a Japanese knotweed problem please contact the TCM knotweed removal team today.
