Japanese knotweed growing on residential wall

Removal Solutions

We appreciate that your home may be your biggest asset, that’s why the experts at TCM are here to guide you through the process of eradicating Japanese knotweed from your property. Our removal solutions are scientifically proven, with tried and tested methods. We don’t just control the infestation, we eradicate it entirely.

Methods of Removal

Herbicide Treatments

Herbicide Treatments are applied through a combination of knapsack spraying or stem injection. The best time to start the program is Spring,  however it does take a number of applications and often, more than one season.

Our Site Survey and Management Plan will give you a detailed rundown of what to expect in each case, as all sites are different.

Dig and Dump

If the infested site is deemed to have sufficiently easy access, it is possible to implement the Dig & Dump eradication solution. TCM excavate every piece of rhizome, crown and stem of the Japanese Knotweed.

This solution is advised if you plan to build on the area that the Japanese Knotweed has been growing.

Timings and Pricing

The Timings and Pricing for residential removal are dependable on:

  • the size of the area
  • the age of the infestation
  • the access required to treat the infestation
  • the timescale available

The average Japanese knotweed removal solution for a residential infestation is £2,000.
